Welcome to another brand new free crochet pattern! I am so excited to share with you how to make this super soft and cozy scarf!
This a very simple, quick and cozy pattern that I’m certain you will love! The Bernat Forever Fleece yarn just simply inspired me to create this “Fleece forever” Scarf with its SOFTNESS. I loved how soft the yarn was to the touch and felt like it would be the perfect texture for a scarf – we are wearing those around our neck so they just absolutely must be the softest things ever.. right?
This pattern is at the “easy” level and I am sure that crocheters just learning the ropes will have no trouble with it.
Color Combinations:
I choose to create a a color combination here with uneven stipes (I am using a pattern of 2 rows blue, 2 rows lavender, 6 rows blue, 2 lavender, 2 blue, 6 lavender – repeated) however you can do anything you would like with the colors! I think that the uneven color changes add a bit of fun to the scarf, but its completely up to you what you do!
Yarn:
Now, I mentioned above that I specifically loved the Bernat Forever Fleece (Amazon) for this crochet scarf pattern, however if you don’t have access to it – you can use any Super Bulky yarn that you have access to. This pattern can also be made using Bulky weight yarn, but will need to be modified (Notes in the pattern instructions regarding how to modify the number of stitches).
I also sometimes buy the Bernat Forever Fleece Yarn from LoveCrafts if I can’t find certain colors in store.
Materials Required:
- Super Bulky Bernat Forever Fleece Yarn (Amazon)
- Super Bulky Bernat Forever Fleece Yarn (LoveCrafts) (read above for my recommendations)
- 8.00mm Crochet Hook
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
This pattern is super adjustable (I will essentially give you instructions to create a rectangle with whatever width you would like and whatever length you would like) therefore gauge is not important in this pattern. The larger your hook size and your yarn thickness the bulkier your scarf will be.
Abbreviations/Stitches (US Terms):
sc – Single Crochet
ch – Chain Stitch
dc – Double Crochet
sl st – Slip Stitch
FPdc – Front Post Double Crochet
BPdc – Back Post Double Crochet
st – Stitch(es)

- I completed the first 4 rows in lavender,

- 2 rows in lavender
- 6 rows in blue
- 2 rows in lavender
- 2 rows in blue
- 6 rows in lavender
Then to finish off the scarf I completed my last rotation of the colors, and then completed 2 more rows in blue, 2 rows in lavender, then 4 rows in blue.
After that, cut yarn and fasten off!
If desired, you can add fringe edges to your scarf (I chose not to)!
